Christmas on the 25th - March

It's that time of month for when I'm on a mission to complete a Christmas card.  Only problem is this month I am away from home.  So, I rummaged around before I left and grabbed a Card Swap kit that I had received some time ago.  I think this Edwin image is so much fun.  I've also been trying to really pay attention to the light and shadows of my colouring.  So far, these are the best pants I've done.  I was also inspired to make an Upright Z-Fold Card from a card I recently received in a monthly mingle, what a fun card to make!!!

Supplies: Most Supplies for this card came from a Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group Card Swap;
Paper: American Craft, Embossing Folder: PC (Baby's Breath); Ink: TH (Vintage Photo)

SPP Mingle - March

This month the ScorPalPals mingle is the Buckle Card.  I haven't made one of these in such a long time.  What I like about the card is you can easily adjust the size of the buckle.  I most definitely needed a smaller one on this card as I made my image too big.  I knew I needed to make this exchange card, but I also wanted to play along with a couple of challenges.  I used green (The Outlaws Monday Greetings Challenge) and Spring (The Magnolia-licious Blog).

I made this card for the following Challenges:
Outlawz Challenge - Monday Greeting Card - Green GCC0311
ScorPalPals - March Mingle - Buckle Card
Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog - Spring

Supplies: Paper: SU (Wild Wasabi, So Saffron), DWCV; Stickles: Cotton Candy; Embossing Powder: Ranger (Seafoam White); Embossing Folder: PC (Birds and Swirls); Stamps: SU (For Everything), Tilda (Tilda with Spring Bundle); Ink: SU (Wild Wasabi); Nestabilities: Big Scallop Oval SM & Big Scallop Oval LG; Misc: Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape

Green and Bling

I've been super lucky this past week to have some time to make a few cards and play along with a few challenges.  This card I'm using for a swap that I signed up for in the month of March. We had to make a card that was either St. Patrick's or green.  I chose to go with green as I don't really have anything that is St. Patrick's.  Then the Monday challenge over at Outlawz needed to have bling on it.  I had intended to use alot of bling, but it just didn't seem to look right.  I am however, very happy with how this card turned out and I sure hope the recipient will like it.

I made this card for the following Challenge:
Outlawz Challenge - Monday Greeting Card - Bring on the Bling GC0225

First Christmas Layout

I had started to make this scrapbook page way back in October while at was at the scrapbooking retreat.  Back then I was able to complete the left side of the 2 page spread, but I lacked inspiration for the right side and probably ran out of time.  So, I finally decided to tackle this second page.  In the end they are really two different ideas using the same paper.  I am so pleased with how the left page turned out.

First Scrapbook Page of 2012

It has been a really long time since I did a scrapbook page.  In fact, the last page I started was back in October at the retreat I was at, and I haven't finished that page yet.  One of my friends challenged our group to do a scrapbook page using a sketch.  I finally made time to take a look at the sketch the other day...and I'm so glad I did.  Here is what I came up with.

Supplies: Paper: SU (Rose Red, So Saffron & Garden Green) & K&Company (Terri Conrad Sweet Life); Cricut: Plantin Schoolbook & George and Basic Shapes; Punch: SU (Scallop Trim) & MS (Sweet Hearts); Stamp: CTMH (Tiny Typewritter Alphabet); Ink: SU (Rose Red) & TH (Peeled Paint & Worn Lipstick); Cuttlebug: Seeing Spots; Misc: Glossy Accents, Rhinestones, Ribbon, Buttons, Thread
