Christmas on the 25th - March

It's that time of month for when I'm on a mission to complete a Christmas card.  Only problem is this month I am away from home.  So, I rummaged around before I left and grabbed a Card Swap kit that I had received some time ago.  I think this Edwin image is so much fun.  I've also been trying to really pay attention to the light and shadows of my colouring.  So far, these are the best pants I've done.  I was also inspired to make an Upright Z-Fold Card from a card I recently received in a monthly mingle, what a fun card to make!!!

Supplies: Most Supplies for this card came from a Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group Card Swap;
Paper: American Craft, Embossing Folder: PC (Baby's Breath); Ink: TH (Vintage Photo)

The new challenge over at the Magnolia-licious blog is called All About Boys.  What a perfect challenge for me, as I just got a new mini Edwin that I really wanted to use on something.  I think this Edwin is so cute...I might have to order the larger one too.  I kept the card pretty simple.

Supplies: Paper: Bazzill & Bo Bunny (Blast Off); Nestabilities: Star Circles & Standard Circles Small; Stamps: CTMH (Tiny Typewritter Alphabet) & Studio G; Edwin: Mini Cool Edwin; Ink: TH (Chipped Sapphire); Edgelits: SU (Finishing Touches); Punch: MS (Stars); Misc: Scor-Pal

All About Red Birthdays

My daughter recently got invited to a birthday party for her friends that are twins.  Unfortunately, we are busy and she can't go.  But I thought it would be nice to give them cards.  Since the twins are one girl and one boy, I thought I'd make a more boy like card.  I hope this counts...

I made this card for the following Challenges:
Outlawz Challenge - Monday Greetings Card - GC0218
Magnolia-licious Challenge - All About Birthdays

Supplies: Paper: SU (More Mustard) & TPC Studios (Party Hearty); Ink: TH (Rusty Hinge & Barn Door); Embossing Folder: PC (Mickey Celebrates); Die Cut: PC (Kids???); Stamps: Studio G, Magnolia (Edwin's Package); Misc: Ranger: Clear Rock Candy

Magnolia-licious October Mingle

Woohoo...I am ahead of the game this month for the Magnolia-licious October Mingle.  I am usually working on it at the last minute.  I saw this fun Halloween stack of paper at Michaels the other day so I decided to pick it up.  I don't usually buy Halloween stuff, because I don't ever send Halloween cards.  This also allowed me to ink up my Halloween Edwin one more time this year.  This was also my first time using the Cryogen Cardstock...wow it is sure nice to work with!!!

A quick thank you to both Debbie, the owner of the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group and Diana Crick for a great place to pick up these awesome stamps.  They sure make it easy to love these stamps.  Lastly, a huge thanks to Julie for organizing this blog hop.

Ok, let's get on with this.  If you've come from Peggie's Blog then you are on the right track.  If you need to start at the beginning then go here

Christmas All Year Long - September

WOW!!!  This month is flying by...the Christmas All Year Long over at Magnolia-licious really snuck up on me.  I even thought about not doing it this month as I wasn't certain my card was going to work out for me.  I really struggled to get started, but I'm so glad I kept at it...I'm pretty pleased with the end results.

I really like to thank Julie who organizes us every month, what a big job she has.  I'd also like to say a big thank you to Deb, she is the Magnolia-licious Yahoo group owner and Diana Crick, I wouldn't have any of my stamps without her shop.

But you didn't come here for my ramblings, you came here to hop.  So, if you've arrived from Peggie's you are on the right track.  If not, head on back to the start.

Here's my card for this month.
I don't know if you can see very well, but the tree is made from a piece of chipboard covered in tinsel glitter.  Oh so messy, but I think it's so fun.  I also framed the sentiment with the tinsel glitter.

Supplies: Paper: Creative Imagination & Bazzill; Glitter: MS (Tinsel Cut); Chipboard: Bazzill (Tree); Nesties: Classic Small Oval; Cuttlebug: Candy Cane; Ribbon: American Craft; Embossing Powder: Whispers (Snowflake Tinsel) & Ranger (Seafoam White); Stamp: Mary Engelbrett & Michael's; Edwin: #146 Santa's Helper

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Next on the hop is Nadyne.  I hope to see you next month.

Magnolia-licious Highlites September Challenge

This month for the Magnolia-licious Highlites challenge we were asked to make a card and a suitcase or backpack.  I choose to go with the suitcase.  This challenge came a great time too, I needed to make a gift card holder and the suitcase works perfect for that.

Here is what I came up with

The tutorial for the suitcase can be found here by Suzanne Dean.

Supplies: Paper: Bazzill & Basic Grey (Nook & Pantry); Stamp: MSE (Birthday Circles) & Edwin #104 Baseball Cap; Brads: Making Memories; Misc: Foam Stickers
