Christmas All Year Long - October

WOW...can you believe that Christmas is 2 months away...I cannot.  I haven't really started thinking about anything to do with Christmas.  I have made a couple of cards, but only for different swaps that I'm in...nothing for me to give at Christmas.  I think I'll hold onto this card and use it.

I am always excited for when the Christmas All Year Long blog hop happens...I get so many great ideas from these talented people.  I'd like to quickly thank Julie, for taking the time every month to organize this.  And a thank you to Diana for enabling me to purchase these super cute images!!!  You can get them in her store.

So, let's get on with this.  If you've come from Peggie's you are on the right track.  If you just happened to stop by here and want to start at the beginning just head here.  Once you are done visiting me, you are headed over to Tanja's.

You can find the tutorial for this Center Step Card over at Splitcoast Stampers.

CCB October Mingle

It's been a couple of months since I last took part in the CreativeCuttlebuggers Mingles and I really wanted to do one this month.  The mingle this month had to be "Anything But a Card".  I decided to go with an Explosion Box.  I am however, most excited about the origami tree on the lid...so easy to do!!!  I originally saw the Christmas Tree in the Paper Crafts Magazine Holiday Cards & More Vol. 6.  I couldn't find the directions for the tree on their site, but watched a YouTube video instead.

CMC Fun Fall Colouring

My son is going to a birthday on Thursday this week and I still needed to make a card.  I have also been trying to play along with some of the challenge groups that I belong to, so this is how I ended up with this card.  The Color Me Creative challenge is all about Fun Halloween or Fun Fall Coloring and the Outlawz Greeting Challenge was Anything Goes.  I decided to use orange, yellow and green as my fall colors.

Supplies: Paper: SU (Pumpkin Pie) & DCWV (All Boy Stack); Cricut: Paper Doll Dress Up; Brads: Makin Memories; Stamp: CC Designs (Philip) & SU (Teeny Tiny Wishes); Punch: SU (Word Window); Misc: Glossy Accent

Retreat Weekend Sunday #2

I was so hung up on this paper.  I love it, but found it really hard to work with…I was probably too tired to be doing another layout.  In the end, I just cut up the paper into smaller sections to work with.

Supplies: Paper: Bazzill & Scrapbook Sally; Embossing Folder: SU (Snowflakes); Punch: CM (Snowflake Pocket Punch); Cricut: Base Camp; Misc: Rhinestones

Retreat Weekend Sunday #1

Not much to say about this one.  I do love the new Stampin’ Up - In Colour, Pool Party.  It really worked well with the paper I had chosen for this one.  I’m also a bit fan of the Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page punches.  I also did Glossy Accents on my letter for this one too…I think I’m addicted to Glossy Accents.

Supplies: Paper: Bazzill, SU (Pool Party) & Provo Craft; Ribbon: SU (Pool Party); Die Cut Letters: SU (Natural Serif); Misc: Pearls, Ranger (Glossy Accents)

Retreat Weekend Saturday #3

Last finished layout for today, I wish I got more done…but oh well.  I really enjoyed making this one, mostly because I really enjoyed thinking about the older kids meeting their new sister.  You can’t tell from the picture, but I added Glossy Accents to all of the lettering, it just finished the look of the letters a bit.  I had lots of fun cutting all of the strips too.

Supplies: Paper: Bazzill & TPC Studio (Sweet Beginnings Baby Girl Nursery Tower); Cricut: Alphalicious, Plantin Schoolbook & Songbird; Ink: SU (Close to Cocoa); Misc: Ranger (Glossy Accents) & Brads

Retreat Weekend Saturday #2

Here’s the second layout of the day.  Again I used the fun transparency on this layout.  This time I cut around some of the swirls and words to make them overlap the pictures.  I nice simple layout out…that took me many hours.

Supplies: Paper: Bazzill &DCWV (Nana’s Nursery); Transparency: Unknown; Cricut: Opposites Attract; Punch: SU (Word Window); Stamps: Studio G, SU (Simple Serif & Euphoria); Pearls: Recollections; Misc: Ranger (Glossy Accents)

Retreat Weekend Saturday #1

Well, today was an awesome day!!!  I managed to complete 3 layouts…woohoo!!!  And I enjoyed the company of fellow scrapbookers.

A really, really long time ago I picked up some really neat transparencies to use on scrapbook pages and I was determined to use them.  I don’t think you can really tell from the picture that it’s a transparency though.  For this layout I also created the glimmer brads.  I took a plain jane brad and covered it with Glossy Accents then dipped it in Glamour Glitter.  So, easy and so fun!  I still need to add the writing in the top left box.  Hopefully I remember something from that day!!!

Supplies: Paper: Bazzill; Transparency: Fancy Pants Designs (Little Sprout); Stickles: Lavender; Cricut: Elegant Cakes; Brads: Bazzill; Glitter: Glamour Glitter (Lavender)

Birthday Thank You

This card may look a bit familiar, I had cut out enough stuff for the birthday invitation back in September to send out 8 invitations.  Well, I only had time to make 2 invitations.  So, I didn't want to waste all of the supplies and decided to make a super similar card, but change it to thank you cards.  All of the grandparents will be receiving this card since they didn't get an official invitation.

The directions for this card I found in a book from Paper Crafts.  It's called Joy of Card Making: Collector's Edition.  I actually had borrowed this book from my local library.  To see the directions better, click on the photo and then use your zoom tool.

Supplies: Paper: Bazzill (?? I think) & Sassa Fraslass (Count Me In); Ink: TH (Aged Mahogany & Scattered Straw); Copics: YR18 & R39; Stamp: SU (Lots of Thoughs); Punch: SU (Scallop Circle & 1 3/8" Circle) Cricut: Celebrations & Sweet Treats; Distress Stickles: Spiced Marmalade & Mustard Seed; Brads: Bazzill; Misc: Scor-Pal and Scor-tape

SU Club - October

Today was such a lovely day to be working on Fall type cards.  Kathy had some wonderful projects for us to make today.  This first one is my favorite, but I liked them all!!

This card we were suppose to put Happy Thanksgiving on it but I decided to leave it blank.  It could make a good birthday card for a man.

Supplies: All Stampin' Up

Magnolia-licious October Mingle

Woohoo...I am ahead of the game this month for the Magnolia-licious October Mingle.  I am usually working on it at the last minute.  I saw this fun Halloween stack of paper at Michaels the other day so I decided to pick it up.  I don't usually buy Halloween stuff, because I don't ever send Halloween cards.  This also allowed me to ink up my Halloween Edwin one more time this year.  This was also my first time using the Cryogen Cardstock...wow it is sure nice to work with!!!

Tag Time Tuesday

It's been a few weeks since the last time I made it to Tag Time Tuesday.  I was pretty happy when hubby was home early enough for me to go.  Once again Viola had an awesome tag to make.
