A Pink and Orange Birthday Card - Napkin Fold

I had a lot of fun the other making the Napkin Fold card for my hubby, so I thought I'd give it another go.  The biggest difference here is that I used Martha Stewart's Punch Around the Page.  It really gives it a different look.

Supplies: Paper: SU (More Mustard & Pink Pirouette) & Scenic Route Paper Co. (Hampton); Punch: MS (Bubble Bath), SU (1", 1 3/4", 1 3/8" Circle); Ink: TH (Spun Sugar) & SU (Pumpkin Pie); Stamp: Cornish Heritage Farm (Birthday Centers); Embossing Powder: SU (Pewter); Ribbon: Straight 'N' Narrow

The Outlawz

Today I joined a new craft site...yes I know...I don't have time for another site.  But I know that this site will give me a bunch of new ideas and teach me some new stuff.  It looks like quite the fun group.  I found this group though Oozak.com.  The Outlawz are having a celebration too right now, so check it out.

Birthday Card for a Special Hubby

It’s my husband’s birthday in a few days and as usual I’ve waited to the last minute to make his card.  I always struggle with the cards for him.  I want it to be a unique card.  So, the first day that I sat down to make this card I spent a good chunk of time surfing the internet looking for a cool fold.  After visiting many blogs I came across this blog, she made a cool card called a Napkin card.  I had never seen a this fold before.  So, I set out to try it, hard part though was making a male card with the napkin fold.  Here is what I came up with.
I decided to use a belly band to keep it from popping up before it's opened.

You can also find directions for this card on Splitcoast Stampers.

Supplies: Paper: Fancy Pants Designs (It’s Your Day); Ink: TH (Fired Brick); Cricut: George and Basic Shapes; Button: Bo Bunny; Stamps: Autum Leaves (Alphabetically Sent); Embossing Powder: Stampendous (Detail Black); Punch: SU (1 ¼ Circle & 1 3/8 Circle); Cuttlebug: Seeing Dots; Misc: Twine

Bicycle Birthday

It's always hard to make a card for a man, but I find it especially hard to make cards for the men in our family.  It is my brother-in-law's birthday and again I struggled with what to do for a card for him.  While flipping though my paper I came across this paper and decided it would work.

Tag Time Tuesday

We learned a really cool technique for this card.  I sure hope I can duplicate it because the thought of trying to explain it to someone is a bit daunting.  The background paper was made from plain computer paper which we sprayed with an ink and water mixture.  Then we crumbled it up and spread it out.  Then we used the heat gun to dry it.  I think I did this step more than once.  After we covered the tag with this "computer" paper and cut it to fit.  Then we Versamarked the whole things and embossed it with clear UTEE.  We then put some gold stuff on it...I can't for the life of me remember what it was called, but I know its used on furniture.  We finished up by doing the decorating.

My Nephew Turns 1

I have decided that making cards for my immediate family is tough.  I know that they love the cards they get, but I want the card to be extra special.  With that in mind it took me forever to come up with a card for my nephew.  First, I couldn't believe that a year had gone by and second, I couldn't decide on what paper to use.  In the end this is what I came up with.

Supplies: Paper: Bazzill & DCWV (Nana's Kids); LaLaLand Stamp: Luka with Truck; Cricut: Sweet Treats; Distress Stickles: TH (Mustard Seed); Embossing Powder: Stampendous (Detail Black); Ink: SU (Night of Navy); Punch: MS (Cupcakes); Stamp: SU (Occasional Quotes & Bring On the Cake); Misc: Stars & SU (Crystal Effects)

White Wedding Card

I have for a really long time wanted to make an all white card.  My sister asked me to make her a wedding card and I thought this would be the perfect time to try all white.  Well, I mostly used all white...I just had to put a bit of colour.  My sister told me that one of the wedding colours was purple.  I really like using the wedding DSP from Stampin' UP, although I don't remember what it's called.  I had lots of fun making this card.
