Twisted Greeting Card

My husband's birthday is tomorrow and for many days I've been trying to get started a making a card for him.  I really wanted to make him a "manly" card and at the same time have it be a fun folded card.  I always seem to struggle with making "man" cards, so I've been trying to pick up supplies that make me think masculine.  I recently picked up the Tim Holtz Gadget Gears die and Steampunk Die, these two dies really helped me with this card.  As for making the card a fun fold, I didn't have to search too hard thanks to Pinterest.  I came across this Twisted Greeting card and thought it would be perfect and it's an easy fold to do. So, I followed the links that she had posted and then watched the video to make this card.

Toonie Thursday

These days I don't really get a chance to make it to Toonie Thursday at Scrapbooker's Paradise.  But this week, I was already out and had some extra time, so I thought I'd stop by.  This was such a neat card technique that we did using mica.  Mica seems to be such a neat element to work with and the possibilities it creates is huge.
