Hostess Gift Set for a Friend

I was so lucky to be invited to the Calgary Stampin' Up Regionals with my demonstrator Kathy.  I had so much fun that day.  I really wanted to thank her somehow, so I decided to make her a gift set like the one from earlier in the month.  You can see it here.  I also wanted to only use Stampin' Up stuff, which was a bit tough for me...I need to get more ribbon.  I really need to learn how to take better pictures too.  There are so many details that you can't see.

Unfortunately I don't love the card on the right.  But I really like the one on the left, if I make a card like that again I'd to a man's birthday card.

March Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge

I am so excited that I found time to make this card.  I wanted to use up the leftover paper from making an Accordion Purse for another challenge.  I thought the paper was pretty cute.  Over at Magnolia-licious Highlites they are having a March Magnolia-licoios DT Sketch challenge.  I thought I'd play along.  This card didn't turn out at all like I have thought.  In the end I had to rotate the sketch to make it work better for my card.

Here is what I came up with:

I used some Prima white flowers and colored them to match.

Supplies: Paper: Bazzill & Daisy Bucket; Ribbon: We R Memory Makers & Celebrate It; Stickles: Waterfall, Icicle & Orange Peel; Brad: Making Memories; Stamp: SU (Warmest Regards); Flowers: Prima; Punch: Martha Stewart (Daisy Dot), SU (Modern Label); Tilda: #388 Chasing Tilda

Accordion Purse Challenge

Yeah...something that wasn't a card or scrapbook page!!!  Over on the ScorPalPals Yahoo Group there was a challenge posted to make an Accordion Purse.  I am so glad I was able to find to make it.  It really only took less than an hour once I picked my paper.  The directions for the Purse came from this Blog.  I used some Daisy Bucket paper for this, I just love their paper.  Of course I added a little bit of Stickles bling too.

Supplies: Paper: Bazzill & Daisy Bucket; Stickles: Icicle; Flowers: Prima; Punch: SU; Misc: Scor-Tape

I was super lucky and was invited as a guest to go to the Stampin' Up Regionals.  It was such a great day.  We made a ton of great projects and I learned a little more about Stampin' Up.

I also took part in swapping.  What fun!!  Some ladies sure make some amazing cards to swap with.

Dinner Tilda Birthday Card

I needed birthday card for my mother in-law.  And I had just finished making a card for an exchange and had some paper left over.  I changed the ribbon and added some pearls.  I also put some Stickles to bling up the necklace and the bottom corner flowers.

Magnolia-licious March Mingle

I don't usually make this size of card, there is way more space to work with. I hope the recipient of my card doesn't see it here...if so, I hope she likes it.

Here is what I came up with:

Supplies: Paper: Scenic Route & Bazzill; Tilda: #388 Dinner Tilda; Stamps: TPC Studios (Playful Expressions); Stickles: Frosted Lace; Ribbon: American Craft; Flowers: Offray;
